Auckland Harbour Crossing Swim

It's time for me to do something crazy. I've been training for the Auckland Harbour Swim. I think I'm prepared. Yesterday I swam 3000 metres at the Parnell baths (cold saltwater pool), and I have been doing some open water swims with a local group at Kohimarama so feel fairly prepared, but it will still be a challenge. I'm looking forward to it. Wish me luck!

I hope my teeth don't get too cold and fall out.

Awesome. Dee and I want to do something like that at some point. Focussed on running at the moment but I need to start the swim training anyway if I want to do the vegan tri next year.

Vegan triathlon? You've gotta be kidding. I eat meet maybe once a week, but I can't imagine doing this kind of workouts and not occasionally eating meat. I would really like to say I cut down on dairy and meet, but in reality I'm too lazy to put the effort into ensuring I had enough protein. Good on you and get out there swimming. It's finally getting warm in the water.
